TSUM

TSUM (Central Universal Store) is one of the oldest shopping centers in Moscow, opened back in 1885 as a trading house called “Muir & Merilies”. Today it is the capital’s largest accumulation of luxury brands under one roof — five floors of high class shopping await you! The cuisine is not lagging behind: each level has its own gastro gem, be it new interpretations of Japanese, Russian or Italian cuisine on the second floor, tartlets with smoked salmon from its own smokehouse on the fourth floor, or exquisite sea delicacies combined with seasonal products on the sunlit Buro TSUM veranda on the fifth floor.

A special feature of TSUM is VIP-shopping: a personal consultant/stylist will accompany you in the halls of the center, helping you to create a fresh and individual look. Also available are paid, free and express tailoring services available for all TSUM clients.

Finally, if you like an item, but there is no time to decide whether to purchase it or not, use the service of individual order. Take a photo of the product label, and if you decide at home that it was your thing, TSUM employees will formalize the purchase and bring it to the right address. Read more about the service on TSUM’s website.

GUM

The luxurious facade of GUM (Main Universal Store) overlooks Red Square and the Kremlin walls, together forming a magnificent architectural ensemble. GUM is not just an expansive shopping center with the best Russian and world brands — it is a truly cult place that manages to catch everyone who crosses its threshold for the first time.

Some people feel warm nostalgia from the “Soviet” canteen and that classic ice cream in a waffle cup. Some can’t hold back the delight of visiting the toilet (yes, we are not kidding and we highly recommend you to check it out), others are overcome by the legendary “Gastronome No. 1”, where you can feel bliss just by looking at the assortment! Many people adore GUM for its luxurious movie theater, which is more like an opera hall in terms of interior and atmosphere. There’s no room for popcorn in here, a glass of champagne looks much more appropriate.

As you leave, throw a coin into the GUM fountain, one of the coolest representatives of its kind in all of Moscow. They say it’s for good luck. But it also ensures that you will return!
