Water trips along the Moskva River
Water trips are very popular among Muscovites and guests of the capital. Especially in the warm season, when the Moskva River becomes a full-fledged transport thoroughfare. Electric river trams with panoramic glazing run along it all year round.
Modern electric vessels move along two routes. The first one starts from the ‘Heart of the Capital’ pier at Shelepikhinskaya embankment and ends at Kievsky railway station, with stops on the way — near the Government House, Bagration pedestrian bridge and several towers of ‘Moscow-City’. The second route runs from the pier ‘Avtozavodsky Bridge’ to ‘ZIL’ on the embankment of Marc Chagall, and the tram makes intermediate stops near the stations ‘Maple Boulevard’, ‘Nagatinsky Zaton’, ‘Southern River Station’ and ‘Pechatniki’. You can pay for the services of river transport by ‘MIR’ bank card, ‘Troika’ card, ordinary travel card, as well as with the help of facial recognition technology.
If you want a long walk along the rivers and canals of Moscow, then you should go to the Northern River Station. Motorboats depart regularly, excursion routes vary from a classic walk with a tour of key sights, which look different from the water than from land, to a journey through the locks.
