Moscow Breakfast Project to Be Held in May

From 1 to 31 May , enjoy special breakfast menus on open terraces across Moscow. Try syrniki, lazy vareniki, healthy bowls, and more.

Moscow launches a gastronomic project Moscow Breakfast on Terraces running from 1 to 31 May. Numerous restaurants and cafés across the city are taking part, and eight of them will offer special à la carte breakfast items for guests to enjoy in their outdoor dining areas.

The menu features a wide range of morning dishes: traditional Russian favourites such as syrniki (fried cottage cheese pancakes) with raspberries or sour cream, millet porridge with pear, and lazy vareniki (boiled pieces of a cottage cheese-based dough without any filling); alongside light and healthy options like avocado toast with poached egg, salmon, quinoa bowls, and smoothie bowls, as well as hearty classics.

Highlights include SeRyi’s “Moscow Breakfast” – a closed sunny-side-up of three eggs with sun-dried tomatoes, three mini Borodino bread toasts with lightly salted salmon and red caviar, Restaurant No.13’s millet porridge with pear, truffle scrambled eggs on toast, and syrniki with strawberry confit, BRO&N's toast with salmon and avocado, Maya's healthy breakfast with kale and quinoa, AVA Bistro's ZOZ breakfast with shrimp and avocado, Loro’s green breakfast, the Syrovarnya's extensive menu of oatmeal bowls, puccia (fried dough with fillings), zucchini pancakes, and shakshuka in dough, and M2 Organic Club’s farmer’s breakfast with organic sausage and scrambled eggs with crab and pike roe.
