GES-2 House of Culture
Where energy turned into art
Built as a power station in 1907, GES-2 was reborn in 2021 as a cultural powerhouse supported by the V-A-C Foundation. Expect cutting-edge exhibitions, theatre, film screenings, and creative labs — many of them free. Just make sure to register beforehand online. Spend the whole day here: there are cafés, a restaurant, and even a bakery on site, all set against the centre’s birch grove.

Hlebozavod №9
From bread to brands and rooftop yoga
This former bread factory still carries the spirit of its 1930s avant-garde architecture. Today, it’s a hub of Russian fashion labels, design showrooms, and food spots — from sushi and dumplings to coffee and craft beer. By day, explore local brands like SHU, KRAKATAU, Fligel, Arny Praht, P.Y.E., ZNY®, and Cor Timor Cor; by night, join a lecture, attend a concert, or even try rooftop yoga.

Flacon Design Factory
Where creativity meets urban lifestyle
Once a crystal bottle plant serving Moscow’s first perfume house, this site is now a "city within a city". Flacon blends design studios, fashion showrooms, eco-projects, and niche shops — such as TvinStore (designer fashion), Poekhali (urban cycling gear), Made in Cosmos (cosmic-inspired jewellery), and Woodman (furniture & décor) — along with many other creative residents. Expect everything from jewellery made of meteorites to live music, street food, and art festivals. It’s a place to shop, eat, party, and soak up the creative atmosphere.

Supermetal
Steel, style, and a new creative hub
Once a Soviet metallurgy institute, Supermetal has been transformed into a striking creative-business space, where Stalinist Empire architecture meets modern minimalism. Inside, you’ll find design studios, digital agencies, and a vibrant public lobby offering books from Respublika, contemporary art galleries, and one of Moscow’s standout cafés — Chelovek i Parokhod (People & Steamboat). Whether you’re here to admire the architecture, network with creative minds, or just soak up the vibe, Supermetal delivers — and in summer, the courtyard comes alive with open‑air parties.

Winzavod
From wine vats to contemporary art
Housed in a former 19th-century winery, Winzavod is one of Moscow’s leading centres for contemporary art. Its 13 galleries — including one called pop/off/art, among the best in the CIS — host a mix of paid and free exhibitions. Beyond the art, you’ll find design shops, concept stores, and cosy cafés; the walls themselves have become canvases, covered with street art that turns a walk through the cluster into an open-air gallery. Winzavod is part of Russia’s Union of Creative Clusters, connecting it to similar spaces across the country.

Artplay
Street art, media art, and design
Since 2003, Artplay has been one of Moscow’s best-known clusters. Its free open-air museum integrates street art into the urban environment, while ARTPLAY MEDIA hosts immersive multimedia exhibitions. The space also underlines its creative status by housing the British Higher School of Art and Design, a key hub for young designers. Beyond exhibitions and lectures, Artplay is famous for its vintage markets and a wide range of trendy shops — from concept fashion boutiques to interior design showrooms. Expect concerts, lectures, festivals, and design stores galore. Hungry? Grab Chinese noodles, Spanish tapas, or craft coffee on site.

Krasny Oktyabr
Chocolate, cocktails, and culture by the river
This former chocolate factory has turned into one of Moscow’s liveliest day-and-night destinations. Explore galleries, clubs, and rooftop bars overlooking the river. Highlights include Strelka Bar (famous for its lectures, screenings, and parties), as well as experimental museums and stylish restaurants. The red-brick architecture adds historic charm to this buzzing creative hub.
