Moscow will celebrate its 878th birthday on September 13–14 with more than 130 free events across the city. Concerts, shows, exhibitions, and family programmes will be open to all visitors.

  • Poklonnaya Hill will host large concerts with popular musicians and bands.
  • VDNKh will offer open-air performances, literary and music shows, and the evening play, Moscow Rings, with astounding special effects.
  • River stations will offer family programmes with concerts, sports, outdoor film screenings, and children's workshops.
  • City parks — 20 in total — will feature live music, family activities, sports, and creative workshops.
  • Museums will join the programme with special exhibitions, guided tours, and concerts.

All events are free and they span the whole city, making it easy for guests to join the weekend-long celebration.
