New Year’s Moscow Breakfast launches

Festive breakfasts inspired by global cuisine across Moscow

From December 22 to January 11, Moscow invites visitors to start their winter mornings with the New Year’s Moscow Breakfast, one of the city's key gastronomic events.

More than 500 cafés and restaurants across all districts of the city are taking part, offering special breakfast sets created for the holiday season. Guests can choose between class favourites, such as eggs, porridge, pancakes, toast, coffee, and tea, or try holiday twists inspired by cuisines from around the world.

A major highlight this season is the project’s flagship location in Bolotnaya Square. Here, at the Gift Factory market, a dedicated New Year’s Moscow Breakfast menu is available daily from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will remain open until February 28, 2026.

The flagship menu features international flavours alongside Russian classics. Guests can try a Greek-style vegetable omelette, olives and cheese served with pita, fluffy pancakes with nuts and jam, Italian Caesar sandwiches with hot berry tea, or German-inspired breakfasts with pretzels, sausages, and apple strudel. Traditional Russian dishes include potato pancakes with roast beef, dumplings, pelmeni, and hearty country-style eggs.

A separate corner by the Moscow Tea Time project focuses on classic porridges and baked goods from Guryev porridge with nuts and dried fruit to traditional rolls and kalachi with savoury fillings.
