Russia and Jordan sign visa-free deal
The new agreement will allow Russian and Jordanian citizens to visit each other visa-free for up to 30 days per trip.
Russia and Jordan have signed an agreement on the mutual cancellation of tourist visas. The document was signed during the visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to Amman, together with Jordan’s Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi.
According to the agreement, citizens of both countries will be able to travel without a visa for up to 30 days per trip, and no more than 90 days per year.
The exact date when the agreement enters into force has not yet been announced. Each country must complete internal procedures and exchange the final documents. After that, the rules will come into effect 60 days later.
