Russia and Oman introduce visa-free travel
Visa-free travel opens new opportunities between Russia and Oman
From July 18, citizens of Russia and Oman can visit each other without a visa. Each visit may last up to 30 days, with a total of 90 days allowed per year.
The agreement was signed in Moscow on April 22 during the official visit of the Sultan of Oman. It is expected to support both tourism and business links between the two countries.
Direct flights already operate between Russia and Oman. Oman Air runs five flights per week, making travel convenient. Tour operators say the new rules may boost demand and lead to more flights.
According to Russia’s Border Service, more Omani travelers are choosing Russia. In the first quarter of 2025, 2,300 Omani citizens visited Russia — an increase of over 150% compared to the same period last year.
