From October 10, Saudi Arabia’s flagship carrier Saudia begins regular flights from Riyadh to Moscow, further strengthening air connections between the two capitals. The announcement was made by the Russian Union of Travel Industry (RUTI).

The new route is expected to significantly increase travel between Russia and Saudi Arabia. In August 2025, low-cost airline Flynas also launched direct Riyadh–Moscow flights, and experts believe the combined service will unlock the full potential of inbound tourism from the Kingdom.

According to RUTI, additional routes are already planned: by 2026, new regular flights from Saudi Arabia will open to Sochi, St. Petersburg, and Makhachkala. Annual tourist flow from the Kingdom to Russia is expected to grow by 25–30%, potentially doubling by 2027 compared to 2024.
