Moscow to host Maslenitsa Festival

From 13 to 22 February join the Maslenitsa Festival in Moscow with blini, music, workshops, and traditional festivities

From 13 to 22 February, Moscow will host the Maslenitsa Festival as part of the city’s Winter in Moscow project. The festival will bring together more than 30 locations across different districts of the city, offering a wide range of activities and performances.

Festival-goers can enjoy folk-themed decorations, including horse figurines, gingerbread, candy lollipops, and 300 unique handmade dolls created for the event. The main festival area will be located at Tverskoy Boulevard, where visitors will be treated to orchestral performances, theatrical shows, and sports quests. The festival will also feature a market with local products like cosmetics, home décor, candles, accessories, and sweet treats.

Various creative workshops and classes will be available at the festival. At Tverskaya Square, guests can try their hand at making felt and satin ribbon garlands and folk dolls.

With national-style decorations and activities celebrating Russian traditions, the Maslenitsa Festival offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore the cultural heritage of Russia through food, crafts, and music.
