Russia extends e-visa stay to 30 days
New e-visa rules allow longer visits to Russia
On July 23, President Vladimir Putin signed a law extending the validity and permitted stay under Russia’s unified e-visa system.
The validity period of the e-visa has been extended from 60 to 120 days, and the permitted stay in Russia under the e-visa increased from 16 to 30 days. The e-visa remains single-entry.
The changes will take effect 30 days after official publication, meaning the new rules will apply starting August 23, 2025.
Russia’s electronic visa is available to citizens of 64 countries. It allows entry for tourism, business trips, private visits, or participation in cultural, scientific, or sporting events. The e-visa can be obtained fully online and is valid for travel to all regions of the country.
