Winter in Moscow to Bring Together 500+ Venues
The citywide winter programme starts on 1 December with sports, cultural events, fairs, and charity initiatives across Moscow.

The Winter in Moscow project will begin on 1 December, bringing seasonal activities to more than 500 venues across the Russian capital. This year’s theme is Warmth of the Big City, with community projects and charity initiatives forming an important part of the programme.
Skating rinks, ski trails, and tubing hills will open in different districts, alongside pavilions and fairs featuring products by Moscow brands. Visitors can also expect cultural, educational, and charity events.
Winter programmes will take place at some of Moscow’s best-known destinations, including VDNH, Moskino Cinema Park, the Kolomenskoe Museum-Reserve, Gorky Park, and the Luzhniki Olympic Complex.
One of the main events of the winter holidays will be the Journey to Christmas festival. Creative workshops, sports sessions, and live music performances will take place at neighbourhood venues and in parks across Moscow.
In winter 2025, Winter in Moscow events drew 32 million residents and visitors.
