Russia and Saudi Arabia agree on visa-free travel
A new bilateral agreement establishes visa-free travel for Russian and Saudi citizens for visits of up to 90 days per year.

Russia and Saudi Arabia have signed an intergovernmental agreement establishing mutual visa-free travel for citizens of both countries. The document was signed during the Russia–Saudi Arabia Business Forum, with Russia represented by Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.
According to the agreement, citizens of Russia and Saudi Arabia may enter, stay in, and leave the territory of the other country without a visa for up to 90 days within a calendar year, using any valid passport listed in the agreement. For Saudi citizens, this includes diplomatic, special, and regular passports.
Visa-free travel applies to short stays, including guest visits, tourism, business trips, and participation in cultural, scientific, economic, and sports events. The agreement also allows visa-free transit through both countries.
The agreement will enter into force 60 days after both sides exchange formal notifications of readiness through official diplomatic channels.
The signing marks an important step in Russian–Saudi cooperation and is expected to support tourism, business contacts, and cultural exchange between the two countries.
