Summer in Moscow: 100 Days of Festivals
From 30 May, the capital serves up festivals, open‑air concerts, tea spots, and free events at over 100 city venues

Moscow’s seasonal project Summer in Moscow has launched, running from 30 May. Now in its third year, the 2026 programme is dedicated to the history, culture, and traditions of Russia’s peoples. Most events are free.
Key venues include Manezhnaya Square, Tverskaya Square, and New Arbat as part of the Moscow Seasons Festival. From 1 June, the Made in Moscow summer market in Bolotnaya Square brings local brands, a food court, an open-air cinema, and live music. The Moscow Estates Festival offers over 500 interactive events — 19th‑century dance lessons, lawn games and guided tours — at the city’s historic manor houses.
Open‑air entertainment is plentiful: the Zaryadye Summer Music Festival (6 June – 5 July), Moscow Jazz Festival (9–15 June), Theatre Boulevard, and the Times and Epochs Festival (10–14 June). New events are added throughout the season.
Moscow turns to the water with boating, SUP, windsurfing, cycling, and open‑air pools. The Moscow Tea Time project invites visitors to sip signature tea at the Candy Box Pavilion on New Arbat, at VDNH, or at tents serving tea in Izmailovsky Park, Tsaritsyno, or Kuzminki‑Lyublino. Open‑air tea buffets operate on Chistoprudny and Pokrovsky boulevards.
Two Tea Raves take place in Bolotnaya Square (27 June and 15 August). The Moscow Ice Tea festival runs 1 June – 31 August at over 500 cafés and restaurants. A limited‑edition porcelain tea set in red‑and‑white goes on sale in July. Summer in Moscow promises fresh reasons to explore the city every day.
